SmartSimple has Joined the FS-ISAC


As you know, SmartSimple’s #1 concern is the security and well being of our customers and as such we have recently joined the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (FS-ISAC)

This organization was created post 9/11 to ensure that the public and private sectors share information about physical and cyber security threats and vulnerabilities to help protect the critical infrastructure.  The mandate is to constantly gather reliable and timely information from financial services providers, commercial security firms, federal, state and local government agencies, law enforcement and other trusted resources. The FS-ISAC is uniquely positioned to quickly disseminate physical and cyber threat alerts and other critical information to SmartSimple. This information includes analysis and recommended solutions from leading industry experts.

We believe access to this information will help protect our client’s assets and investment in SmartSimple.

SmartSimple User Groups


Time flies when you’re having fun, so it’s a bit of a surprise that we are already prepping for the next SmartSimple user group sessions.

The Insurer and IME user groups will take place on Wednesday November 16th and the Grants and Research Management user groups will take place on Thursday November 17th. Both user groups will take place at the historic Campbell House Museum located at 160 Queen St. West in Toronto (the North-West corner of Queen St. W. and University Ave.).

This meeting and future meetings will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Discuss business requirements relating to software efficiency improvements
  • Network with peers from other organisations across the province that use SmartSimple for similar activities
  • Meet and provide input to the SmartSimple development team as to future product direction
  • Share ideas with your community

To date 2011 has been a huge year for SmartSimple in the grants management space.

We began to generate a lot interest in the US market.
We expanded in the Canadian market.
We became the Foundations Center's first international  eGrant reporting partner.

SmartSimple will be at the 2011 Philanthropic Foundations Canada Annual Conference and the Grants Professionals Association Annual Conference

SmartSimple now supports the Foundation Center's eGrant reporting program


After nearly a decade of providing software solutions to the Grants Management market, SmartSimple is extremely excited to announce that our grants management system now contains seamless integration to the Foundation Center’s eGrant Reporting Program.  

Becoming an official eGrant reporting partner validates a core company tenet of SmartSimple, which is to continually leverage technology to enhance collaboration and communication across dispersed communities.  Through this partnership, SmartSimple clients will be able to provide more complete, accurate, and timely information to the grantseekers, researchers, policymakers, and fellow grantmakers who use the Foundation Center’s resources and publications. This bridge enables SmartSimple clients to communicate the value of their grantmaking activities to a wider audience and, in turn, provides clients with knowledge and tools they need to be more strategic and effective agents of change.  SmartSimple clients also benefit from being instantly recognized as an eGrant Reporter in the Foundation Center’s Foundation Directory Online database, by having the icon placed on their grantmaker profile.
